Shaun Escoffery
It’s been far too long since we last managed to get him back in a studio and in front of a microphone, but finally Shaun Escoffery’s new album ‘Move Into Soul’ is done, ready and scheduled for release in February 06. Consisting of Shaun’s unique interpretation of personal favourites, it’s a fabulous and long overdue return from one of the UK’s finest.
A 12” Vinyl EP containing four tracks from the album is currently available (PROMO 34) and further info plus audio snippets of the full album can be found under Releases.
Several ‘Club Mixes’ will be available within the next 4/6 weeks. Audio snippets and confirmed release date information will be posted within the release section very soon. Live dates will also be announced nearer to the release of the album.
In addition to being the first new product from Shaun in over two years, this release also represents the first in a new series of albums recently commissioned by Oyster (all of which will be entitled Move Into Soul). Details of other participating artists will be published over the coming months.
Shaun has also now started work on the much anticipated follow up to ‘Shaun Escoffery’. More news on this to follow.
Geoffrey Williams
Following last month's 12” release of ‘Somewhere On A Beach’ a big ‘thank you’ to everyone who took the time and trouble to e-mail us requesting further info on Geoffrey’s current projects and future plans.
For all those who we didn’t manage to get back to personally, you may now catch up with Geoffrey via his website www.geoffreywilliamsmusic.com. Alternatively further information can be found under Artists.
In terms of further ‘Oyster projects’, we can confirm that having just finished producing Shaun Escoffery’s ‘Move Into Soul’ album, Geoffrey’s own contribution to the series is now underway and sounding fantastic!
The album should be ready for release sometime in the spring.
Nick Clow
Last but most definitely not least, Producer, Singer, Songwriter and friend of the label, Nick Clow has finally been persuaded to put together another album, this time under his own name.
Last seen wading through several ‘Bin Liners’ of songs, demos and various rough sketches, expect an album early next summer.
General
At last our on line shop is open, please check it out Shop. There you’ll find a number of ‘Oyster favourites’ all now available directly from us here at Oysterville. If you can’t find what you’re looking for please feel free to e-mail us.
We are aware that many things still remain unavailable, however we are currently in the process of sifting through, re compiling and re releasing the Oyster back catalogue, (much of which has remained deleted and / or out of stock for many years), and most of our brief history will reappear over the next 12 months, either in album format or as a series of specially priced EP’s.
Finally, Oyster has also now agreed a new worldwide Sales & Distribution deal which will be confirmed within the next couple of weeks. Details of this will be announced in our next update.
